Patagonia's new film, Artifishal, explores the relationship between fish hatcheries and our rivers. We're excited to be one of the limited national screenings of the film, and we can't wait to explore this topic and discuss some of our local fisheries after the film. In partnership with our friends over at The Stem Cell Science Shop, we will also be hosting Dr. Jim Long as part of our Think and Drink speaker series. After the screening, he will be talking about some of his current local research on prized fish species in Oklahoma waters. Local Patagonia retailer; Ascent, will be donating items for a raffle drawing. There will also be a number of fly fishing items donated to the raffle. All proceeds from the raffle will be given to our local waterkeepers at Save the Illinois River, STIR. There will be several local outdoor and conservation organizations that will be tabling at the event including Green Country Sierra Club, Trout Unlimited Oklahoma Chapter 420 and Tulsa Fly Fishers, and Save the Illinois River, STIR. We will also have wild fish dishes available that evening prepared by Chef Joel Bein and Chef Trey Winkle, so bring an appetite. This event is unprecedented in it's scope and focus on local and national water and fisheries. Join us as we celebrate our most valuable resource and discuss effective ways to ensure it's conservation.
